I have always thought that City Property was the way to go in terms of staying in the city (Johannesburg CBD) but what I have experienced in the last 4 Months staying in one of their properties was. I moved in beginning of February, the flat was not cleaned, painted and the carpets stinking with stains in them. 2 weeks later I sent an email of complaint addressing these issues and it was not attended to. 2 months later, I sent another follow up email complaining about the same issues and nothing was done.

The elevators were a nightmare to use, every 2 days I would have to take the stairs to the 22nd floor, bear in mind I am working and studying at the same time. It was even a nightmare doing groceries because the elevators stopped working almost everyday. Because of these poor living conditions, I decided I must move out and they then charged me 10, 756.08 for cancellation fees. R3000 included the free month special which I still don't know why I have to pay it. So what I want to know is if a client is not happy with a service and after 2 emails of complaints and nothing is done what do I do? especially when I was making R3000 monthly payments for poor living conditions.
