Rawsons makes it near impossible for the average South African to rent a flat! And for unhappy tenants to leave! I have been paying for an EMPTY flat for 4 months now, It was not possible for me to live in that area anymore and when I asked how to leave my contract I was told I would have to find someone else to take my lease over or I would lose my dep of (8900) and still be liable for rent until someone else take it?! 4 months later. And the 6th candidate got told they didn't get financial approval, now I have also had constant complaint that the agent is 'rude' 'unhelpful' and doesn't even bother to return calls or assist the other people interested in taking over my lease! How can I find a replacement if no one is good enough and no one gets calls back, information or any interest from the agent when they are keen to rent! Hands down the worst renting experience of my life! Not to mention the not so good condition of the flat when I moved in anyway!
