I had a 24 month contract with just letting in 2009 to 2011 I made 24 rental payments to just letting during the term of my contract. My electricity was to be paid at the municipality and same was paid and up to date. I was billed for water an avereage amount of R150 per month, I have queried this a couple of times at just letting and everytime I was reffered to National Real estate as apparently they were responsible for water and not just letting. My deposit for rent was never refunded to me and is included on the latest statement, as per the statement I am Liable to pay R4183 amount being water for 2 years but my deposited was not deducted from the statement. I have received a letter of demand from attorneys in which they are claiming the full R4183 and threatens with summons, The ironic part is my deposit is part of the amount they want to summons me. All i needed was a water bill from Just letting and proof of litres comsumed per month and how much they charge per litre I shall then gladly pay whatever is due and payable, and if National real estate is responsible for the water why am I handed over by just letting and not by national real estate.
