We own a full title property on the banks of the Vaal Dam. Our property is at The Peninsula, marketed as - "To create the first residential security game village of its kind in South Africa, situated within the heart of the Vaaldam. This reserve would be home to a variety of wildlife and would offer complete security for your much-valued assets. At the Peninsula we believe to enhance the lifestyle of every Estate Owner, by virtue of medium density development, and executive estate style living with quality activities." The Developers - The Smal family have now launched Hunting Packages. They have done this with no consultation / warning with the Property Owners. They are offering prospective Hunters rifle hire - with silencers. Hunting Season has been declared as 29th April - end Sept. Bottom line is we have bought into a "game village" and we now we have Hunters running around from 06h00 - 17h00, Monday - Thursday, April 29th - September, many not licensed with hired weapons shooting in a residential area!!! Despite an outcry and numerous emails to the Developers, they have not issued any further statements! Interim investigations show their activities to be highly illegal.
