Platinum Residential

My wife and i bought a house in a complex in april 2013.
as cautious buyers we asked the necessary questions about... break inns, security etc. i asked the platinum residential agent Mr Bouwer a few times about how safe the property is and if there was any break inns. he told me ever since the owner moved in 12years ago there has been no break inns at all. and its a very secure complex.
about a month ago in August we found our house broken into and both my big flat screen tvs were . when police came the officer told us when he heard which house it was he knew exactly where to go because he was there 5 times prior with the previous owner.he was surprised to see someone has bought the place because of the history.he could describe what the previous owner looked like, his car, where the always sat to write the reports and even showed us all the places where they previously came in through.
2 days ago 10-09-13 they broke in again, alarms been installed etc, they still came in.
i blame platinum residential for lying to us and misleading us.
platinum... u owe me 2 flat screen tvs!
isnt the consumer protection act supposed to protect us against like these?
