On Friday 23 March 2013 I was on the Gautrain that stopped about 1 1/2km from the station, about 5:30. The driver left the train for about 45 minutes. We had no notification why we stopped, not email alerts and when we phone their call centre we were told they will phone back and never did. When we phoned again the operator dropped the phone? The driver could not close the doors to the train and we were told by her to walk back to the station - in the process of jumping from the train I lost my phone. If I did not have to jump from the train I would not have lost my phone. - it is really high to jump out and a few ladies fell in the process. I was given a "free ride" deduction but on the bus I was charged R20 - "because i was more than an hour?? The Gautrain call centre agent, Aniza I spoke to, thought it was a good idea to talk over me and just showed basic lack of understanding, class and knowledge - proof that the poor service of the Gautrain in not just restricted to one area. I eventually arrived home at 19:30.
