Re-instatement of suspended grant is a nightmare!

My son's care dependancy grant was suspended as I was unaware of the new card system & didn't see the SASSA adverts on TV. So I went to SASSA to fetch new forms & handed in the necessary documentation, & was told to go back to fetch a "letter of response" so I can then have a home visit arranged. Today I again stood in the queue only to eventually reach the front & be told that I must now return in the 1st week of December as they "Don't know what to do with my application"?! It has apparently not been processed correctly and they are unsure of what to do?! This has taken 2 months already!

Now for me the situation is simple - my 16 year old son has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, he's bed-ridden, on nappies and can't do anything for himself, There have been no miracle cures discovered since a surgeon general confirmed his condition with our initial grant application, and I've had to ensure that I can work from home to care for him full-time, so what is the problem? Is it really so difficult to have a card issued and to re-instate this legitimate grant when they already knew the extent of his disability before his grant was suspended? This kind of service is completely unacceptable!
