Why is the public paying for no service?

Our power was cut on the 7th Feb at 11H00 due to late payment. This in itself is WRONG as the account is to be paid on or before the 7th. I then paid it on the 8th and was solemnly promised that it would be restored the same day as the outsourced technicians work till 7 or 8 until they are finished. Not even the supervisor-Marlon was willing to help. Lo and behold, Saturday AM I try to contact them to get the power restored. The 24 hour call centre does not handle issues such as these even though it is the fault of thier department that the power was not restored. So, I was told another BS story that they will still come out... HAH HAHAHAHAHAHA. not much chance of that happening. Even if the public calls during normal working hours to the Boksburg Municipality... any one of the number starting with 011 999... NO-one answers and it rings till cut off. What the are we paying water and lights and rates and taxes and normal tax for? Is it not time that someone gets something done about the non-existant service that the municipalities are getting paid for? Not to mention the fact that the staff that work there are as arrogant as as you are at their mercy.
