Its really amazing what old people have to go through in order to get service out there! my father who will be turning 79 this year is owing the municipality R3000 for rates and taxed and whats really worrying is he keeps going to the municipality offices to tell them this from August last year and he is being taken from pillar to post??? i dont understand this at all? he was exempted and all of a sudden he gets charged? i thought an indigent is applicable to south african pensioners and it does not get cancelled- since they get older by the years, i truly do not understand what mannerism has prompted such an action? why was it CANCELLED? my father has reached a point where he is really stressing, this matter is gravely getting to his health.
