About last year around October I lodged a pension withdrawal for my aunt as she is an elderly and cannot do it herself. The pension was for my uncle who has since passed in 1995.He served the Benoni municipality from 1976 my aunt cannot remember his last year of service but he was there for quite sometime. At the time of his passing no money was received from his pension fund or from the municipality. The deceased family did not even know that there were entitled to anything thats why the never claimed. Upon the claim I was told that this stalwart's pension money cannot be traced and I was shocked that the entire municipality cannot or does not have a system in place to trace back files most importantly funds. I only found this out after being sent from pillar to post. All I am asking for is that the poor widow may be given what is rightfully belongs to her and her family.
Can this matter be investigated as I do not understand how somebody's pension can just go missing and nobody is accountable for it. Thank you
