I recently had to call on the Brackendowns SAPS on two occasions. Got a call at 02:00 when away over weekend that the garage door is open and there is somebody in the garage. Within ten minutes got call from officer in front of house and they patrolled regularly until the next morning. About three weeks later called on the same Police Station when housekeeper suddenly passed away. We were greatly impressed with the professionalism and compassion of the two officers (male and female) who were on the scene shortly after the call and stayed there until the deceased was moved to funeral undertakers.
While waiting for the SAPS two people from the Brackenhurst CPF arrived even before the police.
We also had to deal with the SAPS in Hopetown (Northern Cape) during this episode and can only commend adjudant Fink for the role he played as a facilitator during an extremely trying period. He went out of his way to assist even if it meant meeting with the family after hours.
Excellent service by all involved.
