My late brother was murdered inside his house in 2001 in Masiphumelele where his Wife was also shot about 4 times and survived the shooting a day before his appearance in court for the civil claim where he suffered great loss due to false arrests. The murder case was open by the police from Ocean View who arrived at the scene. No trauma counselling where offered to my family especially the my brothers two kids.
Prior to his death, he had open a case of malicious damages to property where the Sr Officer from Ocean View was involved and the docket was only sent to the Simons Town Magistrate court a day after he passed away. He had also opened a case of attempted where the police where informed that the perpetrators where people he could identified and nothing was done about it.
I have launched a complains with the WC SAPS Provincial Departments, WC Community Safety and have also twitted the Premier several times.
Its now two years since he passed away and the police have done absolutely nothing in an as far as investigating his murder case. Instead they have informed me that the cellphone handed in to them as a evince is lost with the police station.
