On the 22/06/2013 we have had an incident at home whereby a drunk man and his family were causing an argument outside our yard, the man pulled out a firearm and used profanity on our family. Not retaliating, we called the SAPS (Phoenix) when the lady advised they are sending out their officers and a van. 2 hours later The Accused was still outside the yard and continued. The man then got ahold of my brother and bust open the back of his head with the gun. We called the station again, only to be told that there were no records logged and she will log it now, whilst giving her my contact details she hangs up on me. Trying to call back, with no answer from the station. We then pretending to talk to the police and scared them off. We immediately drove to the station to open a case of harassment and defamation of character when the black male officer could not understand us as he was too drunk so he called another officer to take over. Asking the next officer why he is drunk on duty, I get the response ' madam, thats not my business'.l Unfortunately, by the end of that conversation nobody was able to help us. Who do we then go to if this is the example the Law sets???
