I was retrenched end of September 2013, but old employer arranged for a new position with another company. This arrangement did not hold as the old employer also managed to have me suspended from my new position. Since then I have not been successful with new employment as yet. I had submitted and completed all required forms according to UIF Offices end of Oct 2013, only to discover on 17 Dec 2013 that there was still a document that needed to be attached to my application. We did attach said document and was told to return for my money again in January 2014. I have laid a complain numerous times regarding this situation, and was told it would be sorted out within another 2 - 3 weeks on 3 Jan. I have phoned to check up on the status and have been to the offices today again but now I am being told I will only receive my money on the 27th Jan. I had to pay my rent on the 7th, which is now a week later. My electricity will now be disconnected because I don't have the money to pay the lady.
I wish there is a better solution than waiting another 2 weeks for my money!!!
This is really ridiculous, and I am suffering because of this situation.
