The Shocking Incompetence of eThekwini Staff

I live at 50 Bonela road, Durban. We buy our electricity using the token system. We have lived here for over 17 years with no problems, but on the 27/07/13 we went to buy power and discovered that our card was blocked. We phoned the call centre and was told that the systems were being updated and we had to buy from Spar or anywhere linked to eThekwini. We everywhere. Nothing worked. The only option was to wait till monday. From Saturday till Monday we had no power.
Monday morning we go to the offices and they cant give us a good reason why the card was blocked. They talk about registration, but we have proof we did register. Anyway they sort it out and we believe everything is fine till Wednesday. No one was at home, they came and cut the power and left a letter in zulu which we don't understand. It says that that our meter box is at the wrong address and it has been placed illegally. and we need to go to Pinetown with proof within seven days. We are not on their database. I phoned 031-3116533 and spoke to Phili Mngadi and able to find us on the database and told us she would sent someone to reconnect. This is now the third day and we've lost hundreds in spoiled food.
