As a provisional tax payer I used to make use of a Tax Practitioner to file my tax return every year. This year I submitted my tax return myself via e-filing. It was an easy enough process to follow and when I needed guidance the call centre staff were very professional and efficient in dealing with my query. For a Government body SARS is really getting it right!!! They are going out of their way to make it easy for customers to file their tax returns. They deliver on their promises and their processes works!!! I filed my return on Wednesday and my refund was in my account this morning. That's a WOW!! I really wish other Government departments will "get with the programme" and adopt this excellent customer service attitude!! Well done SARS!!!
