National Consumer Commission
Rude, rude, rude

I sent an email query to the NCC to ask about my rights in a specific situation. Today my cell rings, no number is shown, I have no way of confirming who the person is who is calling. He wanted my physical address??? I said, that as I have no idea of confirming who he is &I am not lodging a complaint, I do not wish to give him my address. He wanted to put the phone down, I said please may I ask you something. He then kept talking, rudely and telling me to keep quiet &listen to him as we are not in a choir!! He said as I do not want to give my address he cannot help me as they are not allowed to give advice over the phone?!?! why did he phone then. Every time I tried to speak, he told me to keep quiet, it took a lot of effort to get his name (is it even his real name?) Then I said again, I would like advice about my rights, he again he said I must keep quiet and listen which is when I lost it &asked him to please keep quiet and give me a chance to talk... He put the phone down in my ear!!! So unprofessional, if they cannot provide phone advice WHY did he phone? I want to know what my rights are!!! Can a medical professional charge more than medical aid rates without informing me?
