Delivery of my newspaper, Die Burger suddenly stopped, without notice or warning on the 2nd of April. Since that day I have phoned Die Burger's call centre 4 times and each time the agent apologised profusely for this poor service, promised to correct it and phone me back to confirm that it has been corrected. That did not happen with any of the 4 agents I spoke to. The second agent I spoke to explained that the problems they experienced with delivery in the Southern Suburbs were sorted out and normal delivery would start again on Monday 8 April. This did not happen. When I phoned again this morning to report that I still have had no delivery of the newspaper, they explained to me again that there was a problem wtih delivery in the Southern Suburbs and they will try to sort it out for me... still no newspaper though!
I would think that Media 24 would jealously guard and look after the people who are still willing to subscribe to their print newspapers as opposed to the free internet services OR that they would try to hold on to their Afrikaans speaking customers in a shrinking market!
