I entered a competition on Jacaranda FM to pay my vet's bill. When they called my name on radio, I had to call back within 15 minutes and they would pay my bill. I did not hear my name being called and unfortunately did not call back within 15 minutes. I therefore assumed I had not won and did not take the matter any further.
2 weeks later, I got a call from Steven at Jacaranda to say that they would be paying my bill - I thought 'Wow, they are still paying it even though I did not call back- well done Jacaranda! ' - gosh was I wrong!! Steven asked that I send him a number of documents. He also asked me to allow 3 - 4 weeks for the bill to be paid.
I had no response to my email for 2 full weeks. I started to get concerned as my bill was still outstanding so called Jacaranda to follow up. Today I received a call to say that I wasn't a winner and he had made an admin error but also that the error was on me for not letting him know that I wasn't a winner of their own competition!! I am now left to pay my vet's bill the interest earned from waiting because of Jacaranda's mishandling! Extremely poorly handled - angry ex-listener! *DON"T ENTER JACARANDA COMPETITIONS*!!
