Trudon, Publishers Of The Yellow Pages
TRUDON DONT KNOW THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT/FINES

It would appear that your staff are unaware of the above consumer's right in particular Shareen who eventually put the phone down on me because I became irritated at her refusal to even entertain the thought of cancellation, insisting that such a contract cannot be cancelled under any circumstances whatsoever.
Reference is made to Section 14.2.(b) (bb) of the Consumer Protection act which allows for the cancellation of any fixed term contract by a consumer in terms of which the requisite 20 business days notice was duly given to cancel the advertisement in the yellow pages on 17 Sep 13. Despite several email having been sent these are ignored including a final notice to respond. Despite having accepted my funds for several years phone call to the call centre have all been met with the same refusal to cancel - latest ref 6174205 Mthole Nxumlo who also informed me that Ronnelle Kotze would not take any calls
As a matter of principal, I am therefore left with no alternative than to lodge a complaint to the National Consumer Regulator which could result in a fine of either R1, Million or 10% of Trudon's annual turnover. I do have the time and will to follow this through the whole way.
