Dormant Account Status

I recently visited the Austerville POSTBANK to check account status. I was informed that account is still active and that all is in operational status. I requested a printout and submitted to employer for payroll. Yesterday 20th April 2013 I again visited the Austerville branch as I had lost my card. I was given a form to complete and sign and issued a new card. When attempting to make a withdrawal I was informed that my account is "DORMANT" and cannot complete withdrawal. I find it unacceptable that I was advised account is active and funds were deposited into account without any hiccups only to be told I cannot withdraw because account is inactive. Surely if it was inactive it should have failed to accept incoming funds. Now I sit without any cash to pay bills as I was advised that on Monday I should return with proof of residence and ID to complete another form to have account activated. The consultant advised this procedure would take 3 weeks to sort out. I honestly have no faith in this as I had previously submitted a document to "HEAD OFFICE" for the daily / monthly limit to be increased on the same account almost 2 years ago and this has not been updated on account to date.
