I gave in my Baume & Mercier watch in for repair and service on 10 March - after sending a quote to me via email, I asked them to go ahead with the repair - which took about a week.

It is now 15 April - I am still waiting for the watch to be repaired - I have phoned about 3 times to chase the status of the repair - each time 'Larry' has been short and curt over the phone. The last conversation - today 15 April - he reported that they are waiting for spare parts - after I Interrogated him as to how long - he said he didnt know, it could take 6 months for all he knew! I asked him why he had such an attitude, as every time I deal with him he always has an attitude - He said look, you didn't buy your watch from me and its not me that has an attitude, its you! I've sent it to the agent the agent is waiting for the spare part to come from Switzerland!

So if you like dealing with rude shop keepers .. go ahead and deal with Larry at Emmanuels! It would be totally different if he would just be nice about it... and apologise for the delay.

The cost of the repair is ove R2, 900
