We went on a ship cruise, and decided to overnight close to Durban on the way back. For this we opted to use Fairways boutique hotel in Saltrock. Lovely place, and included dinner with a bottle of champagne. During dinner we decided to have a second bottle of champs. When we received the bill on checkout the next day we were charged R150 for the extra bottle... cost price of this bottle is R38 at Spar.
Sure everyone has the right to charge what you want, however we would like to warn you not to get that second bottle... most resuarants charge R65 - R95 for the same.
To add to this there was no manager to query this on checkout.
For that matter the kitchen staff had to check us in and out...
