Not informing client of extra costs

I bought a Brazilian blow wave on Groupon - the supplier was Riverside Hair Salon - When i phoned and booked the appointment the owner of the salon Davina asked me when I wanted my appt and my contact number. When I arrived at the salon on 6/3/2013 she said that the cost would be more as my hair was long and thick, but she could not tell me how much more, maybe R300-R350. She had another client having the same thing done - the client also had to pay extra - I kept asking her how much she was going to charge me and she said "I will tell you later " even after she had finished applying all the product she said "I will tell you later". Only when the other client left did she say that it would cost me R450 extra. If she had warned me when I booked my appointment I could have budgeted for this and maybe made my appointment a month later when I could afford the extra cost that I was not planning. She was not happy when I told her this -( that she could have told me when I called) and then started to try and make small talk by bad nothing other deals on Groupon. The R450 was paid but I will never return to this salon
