I have a "Go Live Model 4CS01" TOM TOM GPS car device. It's got all the normal GPS Map location and drive assist features, and also Traffic Live feed. I have had this device for two years. The first year it worked very well; INSTANTLY connecting to satellite and Traffic information - once I powered it up. Early 2012 - TomTom released a major firmware update; since then the device has been frustratingly UNRELIABLE! TomTom now release a firmware or code changes almost every week - one would think that is a good thing; but it is infact, VERY FRUSTRATING. Not updating the device eventually cripples it; and after updating it, NEW problems are introduced; forcing one to update within days again. To update the device, you need to remove it from the car, connect it to an Internet ready computer and then set it up in the car again. Goodness me! These days, I'm lucky if the device connects to Live Traffic feed AT ALL; and when it does, it takes too long - by that time it's too late to drive another route to avoid traffic issues. TOM TOM - get your quality back to your product - I'm considering moving to Garmin (at least they offer free life time map updates too).
