Hunt through the multitude of printer cartridges, trying to find the one I need, in front of 4 cashiers, who can see I am not being successful, but they ignore me anyway, until I ask for help. Begrudgingly someone has a half-hearted effort to help me look, but gives up early saying Walton's don't stock this cartridge. No checking on the computer, and no such thing as we can order one for you.
Now, this black cartridge is for a top of the range Lexmark printer ink-jet, which I bought specifically because the large size cartridges are about R70 each. Waltons are very happy to stock the colour cartridges for this printer, which are about R400 each. They also stock a black cartridge which fits my printer at R250, but is not the special large one. I have bought the special one at Waltons before, so it appears that this item has been deliberately discontinued. Why? Simple maths, really. They wont make as much profit on a cheaper cartridge. People are normally desperate for a cartridge, so I suppose many would pay the extra. Not me, Waltons! Not going to get ripped off, or put up with your staffs lazy, sloppy attitude either. You not going to see me in your shop again!
