Please train your salespeople

On saturday I went to purchase a HP multifunction printer. My husband asked the salesperson (who's name I didn't get) if this particular printer scans in colour. The salesperson said no as it is a black and white printer and therefore all scans would be in black and white. I pointed out to him that I didn't want to print the scanned image just to scan it to my computer. At which he got really irritated with me, pulled out the ink cartridge from the printer and showed me that it was a black ink cartridge and said that therefore all scans would appear on my computer in black and white. I explained to him that the ink cartridge has nothing to do with scanning. He then turned around and walked off. I Googled HP's website on my phone read the specs of the printer which showed it would scan in colour. If I hadn't bothered to use the internet you would have lost the sale. I could have handled the ignorance but the bad attitude. I won't be going back in a hurray. Which is a shame because I have had good service from this branch before.
