I've been using HP printers for many years. I always keep 1 spare cartridge per color on hand so that when I do run out of ink that I have a spare ready.

When I run out of black recently I fitted my spare cartridge. It worked for a few days and then just stopped. My local supplier was not prepared to replace the, still full, cartridge, but gave me HP's contact number. The supplier have a no-return policy on cartridges. I phoned but was given a different contact number. Again and again I was given different numbers (6 times) and ended up at a call centre in India. I was given the assurance that someone would phone me back - no-one did! Just nobody was prepared to help. The expiry date on the cartridge is 11/2014. I have never used refilled or grey product cartridges even though much cheaper than the brand name. The cost of a new black cartridge is R400. Surely the faulty cartridge should be replaced by HP?
