Shocking and lazy service - its been 5 months

I spoke to Sheldon clearly asking for a matte white, completely solid in colour, perspex. He told me that they had such a product called ABS (Cliff later admitted to me that this wouldn't have worked). After much time had passed where Sheldon was constantly making mistakes with the order, he said that he has sourced an Opal Perspex for me after the ABS was given to another customer. I checked with him if this was 100% solid in colour-not translucent at all and he said it was but that he would apply a matte vinyl on the one side to give it a nicer finish. After much time had passed in which I had to buy other perspex to meet my deadline, the product arrived. Not only was it translucent but the only reason Sheldon had applied the vinyl in the first place was to make the material 'appear' solid in colour. The way the vinyl was applied was shocking-it was overlapping the edges at some point or not meeting up to the edge at all.
When asking Cliff for a refund for the shocking service, wrong material and bad quality of vinyl application he simply refused and said it was a misunderstanding and that I should take another product instead. I refuse to do this as I certainly qualify for a refund.
