Still waiting for payment from SMD

First week of the year Jan 2013 I sold my car to SMD and I still have not yet recieved the money and today is the 12/02/2013.I was told that the vin number on the vehicle and on the car papers does not correspond, Zanele has been very efficient in giving me feedback, so I then tried to sort it out With Volvo Hatfield to rectify their mistake but Oom Hennie from Volvo could not help me, so I asked SMD to do the police clearence on my behalf and they agreed but would deduct R18000.00 from the money i am suppose to get for the sold car. My problem is that it is taking far too long I have been patient for almost two months, can something be done so that I can get my money. Maybe it is the SAPS that is taking long with the clearence for the vehicle, please somebody help
