Since buying my Fortuner new from Shelly Beach Toyota we had problems with vibrations. After various calls and investigations we found out that the so called "run flats" that was installed by the dealer was in fact not run flats as we know them, but instead run flat bands which they install to prevent the tyre from jumping the rim when flat. This was not explained to me when purchasing the vehicle. We found out that the whole plate inside the tyre was loose and caused the vibration. I took the vehicle eventually four different times to Toyota, have the loose parts removed, twice replaced damaged rims as a result of all of this. There is still a problem. Imperial Kempton does not help when vehicle serviced etc etc., Shelly takes days to return calls and Toyota Call Centre does not answer nor return any calls. We had our lives at risk with all these loose bolts and nuts inside the tyre and do not get responses or assistance from any of Toyota dealers or call centre
