I had to have my side mirror repaired and Outsurance sent me to Great South AutoBody, 20 Jan 2014. This in itself was distressing, as it was in the CBD of JHB and far from where I live or work. Nonetheless, I was desperate as I had had to wait almost a month for repair. Once at GSAB, I had to wait over thirty minutes to see the correct assessor and even then, he did not arrive and I was assisted by the receptionist. After the second day at the shop, I had to call and find out what was the status and when would the car be ready. I also reminded the assessor about the other personal quotes I had expected to receive. I was told the car would be ready on Friday and that he would follow up on the quotes. I had to call again after midday Friday, and the assessor didn't know the status of my car and had to phone me back. Only after that, did the consultant at GSAB find out that my car was ready. Only after that phone call, did i then receive an email and sms confirming this. Having been through a week without my car, and appointments later that day, I had to get it ASAP. The actual panel beating job was well done but, even with the reminders, I have not received any quotes as requested
