THE BIGGEST RIP OFF'S
I was involved in an accident on the 21st of May 2013, with a truck. The A1 Assist tow truck showed up.
They hang around the whole procedure, I then informed them that I do not have insurance and they assured me that the trucking company with whom I had the accident with, will be billed for the towing in the insurance claim.
What a load of Bull. Their office lady by the name of Carol called me on the 23rd of May, informing me that there will be a charge for the storage of the vehicle. I in turn asked what it would coast, and she informed me that it will be R250.00 per day.
So this morning 24th May, I called to find out what I owe, so I can have the vehicle removed. I was astounded to find out that it would cost me R6500.00. I asked her what the amount was for, and she informed me that the towing of the vehicle - 6 km, was a charge of R3000.00 (broad day light).
And what was confusing is, I called in to just get a quotation to tow a vehicle to their offices from Florida and the operator quoted me R650.00, so why the R3000.00 for me. This Ca
