Contacted the Globeflight call centre and spoke to Sylvester Koopman. He managed a same day booking for me for today (22.01.2014), but booked it under the 21.01.2014. His manner on the phone was not professional at all.
After all the confusion, I spoke to a lady named Lebo this morning to advise why the driver had not been to collect the parcel at 06H45 as requested (Sylvester had provided the incorrect details to me). She was a bit and I didn't appreciate her tone on the call.
it has now come to light, that the parcel I needed to have delivered by this afternoon, missed the flight this morning (arranged for 10:25, but it - the plane - left at 08:25). Not to mention that the person who the parcel is intended to go to has now been inconvenienced.
The service I have received in the last 24 hours from Globeflight is pathetic, with the one hand not knowing what the other is doing. Managers are not as clued up as they should be with what is happening in their branches and I can't understand how this hasn't come to light before.
If anything, the only person who was indeed helpful, was Leo from East London branch who is to be commended.
That said, not using Globeflight again!!
