My brother sent a parcel overnight from KwaMashu to the Carlton Centre Post Office. Can you believe that a week later I still have not received my parcel? I went to the Carlton Centre on the 15th and I was told that the parcel had not arrived. Tried to do the track and trace and the system is offline (no surprises there), and has been for days. Checked with other Post Offices in town just to be sure that I was waiting at the right place, to my surprise and disgust, the parcel has been sitting at Marshalltown since the 15th of January. The parcel is clearly addressed to the Carlton Centre, 150 Commissioner Street and yet the person receiveing the parcel did not feel the need to forward to the correct post office. I eventually spoke to a lady called Joan at Marshalltown and she was more than happy to tell me that it was not her fault, she does not work with Speed Services items, no apology whatsoever, WOW!! We paid over R70 to get the parcel to Johannesburg overnight, is this fair?? Post Office YOU NEED TO UP YOUR SERVICE!! Enough now!! You are not offering this postal service free! Employ competent people that can read addresses and use their common sense please!
