I took my car in to the Centurion Branch on the 31st Dec. The car had problems getting power to start. I told them the battery was brand new, and they confirmed it is still 100%.
They told me that they will have a look and let me know before they do anything.By the 4th I phoned them and asked about the car, which they already fixed - two battery cables and terminals and something overheated - Invoice R1300!! (They also confused my car with another clients car, who also complained about the service!) So only the battery terminals were replaced at an insane amount of R1300!!!
Parts = R300!!
Labour = R400!!
Car diagnostics = R400!!
I phoned other places for quotes, the highest I could get was R200 (inc parts). Even their own Sandton branch quoted me R200?!?!?!
They also told me you don't need the car diagnostics (which they also didn't give me the result of)!! You perform a simple volt dropage test which they do for free!!! Either Car Service City is completely incompetent and don't know what they are doing, or they are using the diagnostics test for any problem just to charge people!!
I am also still waiting for feedback from the branch and head office!! Very efficient!
