Advertised our one & half bedroom beach flat on Gumtree. Was approached by Leandra saying she has many customers not enough flats, was happy to have them help us rent out our flat.
Our flat was booked for December available from 4January2014. Sent me a text on the 4th saying she had someone for us for 3 nights @ R900 a night=R2700 which was a lot more a night than we were asking so happy to have this.
Asked her about payment, she said since we had no history of dealing with each other she has to protect herself & her client, we could turn these people away when they arrive, promised to do an EFT once customer in & email proof. We handed over our keys & Remotes to Delene & her family who gave us the proof of R3600 paid to Sunrise Holiday, when we asked for it.
Phoned Leandra on our way home, said she would do it right away. Got home nothing. Phoned her, give her 10 minutes-nothing. Phoned again, said having internet problems - will keep trying. Sunday same thing. Promised us Monday morning would go to the bank and physically do it. Monday NOTHING again. Stopped taking our calls. We have received nothing and when we email & she does respond, says she on her way to bank but nothing
