At the beginning of last year I had my door handle and boot lock repaired on my Citi Golf by Monaco Motors. They advised that I get an original door handle fitted as the generics can be faulty. So I did, costing me R438, 79. When I got my car back the handle would work but only sometimes, and then slowly get worse. I took my car back 3 times to have to handle repaired and every time, the handle was returned and was still faulty. I even begged them to take it back but still the same door handle was returned. It would work properly for a little while and then continue to brake. After emailing Paul Toscano about the issues, only to receive NO help from him at all, a friend told me to go buy a generic handle for R35!! my friend fitted it on my car in 5 mins and the handle has worked properly ever since. Why did Paul Toscano charge me R438, 79??? My friend also said there was rubber piece missing.
As I mentioned he also fixed my boot lock, which worked but always seemed to get stuck. Some jiggling would help get it back to normal. BUT, this weekend the lock had completely broken! This lock cost me R510.
