I was involved in an accident on 30/10/2013 with a truck belonging to DJ Bosman Transport. I contacted the company to advise and was referred to their broker who requested the standard documentation. I was then advised that the broker will not be handling my claim and was referred to a claims company. After more than a month I am told by a staff member of DJ Bosman Transport that they have to do an investigation into the case to decide whether the claim can be honoured. I was also informed that the driver in question was not available and could not give me an indication as to when the driver will be available. The person handling the case further advised that he did not have any documentation even though the driver of the company had completed the accident log sheet at the scene and opened a case at the police station that very same evening. I now have to wait until mid January 2014 until the driver is available to obtain his statement before they can decide whether they will pay the excess so that I can get my car fixed. The response and attitude is putrid not to mention the inconvenience I am put through all because of the lack of ownership on their part.
