I came across a today a woman called "Tanya Tensul" she advertised a Nissan 1400 on sale for 18000.
I called to view and she said she had other people interested, she told me a guy offered her a holding deposit of 2k
Obviously me not knowing the she was pulling, I offered her 4k... she asked me to sms her my email address so she could send through her details...
She requested I do a cashsend to her for 2k... wondered why she didn remember the 4k I offered her... I googled her number and she has 2 ads running concurrently, one for the bakkie and the other for a bike. Here is her number 27822927981
I was gonna do the cash send in the morning but my girlfriend got a funny feeling about it, read the ping pong mails "tanya" and myself were sending and she said this woman is scamming me... I realised I was almost taken for a fool... sucker punched if you will...
Makes one somewhat despondent to use olx as search to find the item one is looking for... can't blame the site but I'm hoping that there is a way to curb these "so called".
