Broken stamp

I moved to Melville in January 2013 and since then, I have always known Melville post office with a broken stamp. I have been there several times and I get the very same excuse 'sorry we can't help you, our stamp is broken'. It is October now and the stamp is still broken. How long does it take to repair it or get a new one??? Very disappointed
