My complaint is against a service I called Be2. It is an online dating service. I subscribed to their premium membership around the 10th July 13. 2 weeks later I discovered that I was unhappy with the sites content and did not feel the service worthwhile. The sign up fee was R50 per month and the T&C's said automatic renewal would apply if not cancelled within 7 days of the renewal period - This renewal date was the 14th August 13. On the 22 & 29 of July I sent emails notifying the company that I would like my subscription cancelled. They directed me to a page on their site that if you try to delete the profile it says you must cancel your premium membership first. When I asked for instructions to cancel, they send me another mail of instructions to cancel it, which were invalid. There is no cancellation facility on the site at all. On the 14 August my personal account was debited for R1494.00. I have now been fighting for the money returned and the account closed/subscription cancelled. According to Be2 they never received any request for cancellation (I have proof of emails sent). To date I am still fighting with them, the account isn't closed and my money isn't returned!
