I paid foe a parcel to be sent from Taiwan to South Africa using the Expedited Mail Service. This is a 4 -5 day service. According to EMS tracking it left Taiwan on 5th Aug and arrived in Joburg at 8am on 7th. It was released from customs on 8th Aug at 5.15am. So it took just 36 hours to travel 11500kms. It has now been 7 days and it has still not made the 50kms from Johannesburg to Pretoria.
I have been told that they have tried to deliver it - but I have been here for the last 4 days - no one has come with any parcels. In fact speaking with the driver yesterday he told us he didn't know when he was going to deliver it but it wouldn't be that day. Yet a Customer Care operator has just told me he recorded that he had attempted to deliver it yesterday. Clearly he falsifies his job card. EMS is a great service everywhere else but South Africa
