Long-stay More-pay at a Hospital!

It's not that I have a personal vendetta against Servest, However following my previous complaints regarding the fact that they charge for drop off parking at Pietermaritzburg airport, I have now stumbled across another practice which I find most questionable. Last week my stepmother was rushed back from a UK holiday and admitted to Sunninghill Hospital ICU (Johannesburg) with a life-threatening case of septicaemia. As is to be expected, my 80-year-old stepfather was traumatised by the experience and found himself sitting outside the ICU unit for several hours trying to establish what procedures were going to take place on his wife.

It was two days later when I accompanied him to the hospital that he pointed out what an affront it was for him as a pensioner (or anyone for that matter) to have had to pay so much for a long stay in the hospital parking, simply because he was caught up in a traumatic set of circumstances.

So, already confronted with the prospect of enormous hospitalisation bills, Servest are happy to keep the meter running with no consideration for the sick, injured and elderly and their families.

Servest you should be ashamed.
