I visited the Street Fever store in Kenilworth, simply because I used to work in the centre.
I was looking for a pair of high-top Converse sneakers, but they didn't have my size. The attendant said I could pay a R100 deposit for the shoe and he'd attempt to source the shoe for me. The attendant said they would contact me when the shoe had arrived.
I wanted the shoe before going on holiday. When I visited the store last week, they still didn't have the shoe and told me that they couldn't refund my R100 nor give me R100 off another shoe. Day-light if you ask me...
When I asked why they never contacted me, they replied and said it was only for system purposes that they took my number.
Now having worked in retail myself, I know what Customer Service is. This one young lady behind the counter actually went as far as calling me stupid for going to another store to buy the shoe!!?? I nearly smacked that grin off her face!
Needless to say I wasn't in the mood to argue, so I left! I will never go back to a Street Fever outlet again and will encourage my friends to avoid them too!
