I took slip covers for two kiddies chairs to Brooklyn Dry Cleaners, (PERMA PRESS) to be dry cleaned as per the fabric instructions. When I uplifted the dry cleaning yesterday, I happened to be in the shop when the owner, Costa delivered the Dry Cleaning. I paid R90.00.When I got home and opened the dry cleaning, the covers (dry-cleaned for the first time) were totally ruined!!! The original fabric was off-white with a faint pink and green stripe - now the entire fabric was pink and washed out. I went back to the store and wanted to speak to the owner who was at the Lynnwood store. After initially refusing to speak to me he demanded that I bring the covers there for him to inspect -I refused. The lady at the store was unable to give the owners surname who is apparently only known as "Costa". Costa was rude, shouted over the phone and did not give me an opportunity to finish my sentences. He says that if colour in a fabric runs "it is not his problem". I asked why did somebody not tell me that there was a problem with the dry cleaning- why do I have to get home to discover that after I paid, it was ruined? Costa's response " I have a lot of work and can't check every package"!! Beware
