Our department at the College of Cape Town was booked for a spa treatment at the Sky Spa Knightbridge. on arrival we were taken to our change rooms which had lockers in them. we each used a locker to lock away valuable items. there were 2 keys on each locker. during my treatment my locker key was at the therapist table. the therapist left the room on 2 occasions for 3 -5min, while i was soaking in the oils she had applied. at the close of the session went to change back into our clothing. it was then that i discovered my wedding and dress rings were missing. i often visit spa salons and as per usual put my rings onto my watch strap and closed it up. I found the watch tied but NO rings. i called the recpetionist and the police who later conducted a search. Nothing was found. To date, i have had NO COMMUNICATION from the owner or the spa. surely a spa salon at century city services a rich and weathly clientele and should provide safe keeping of all personal goods. these rings are of sentimental value. how is it possible for anything to be removed from the locker (locked) when only i (apparently) had the key?! what was intended to be relaxing turned out to be severely traumatizing.
