I purchased a Karcher vacuum cleaner for domestic use. Three weeks after the warrantee expiry the machine stopped working. Took it to the supplier who advise that it was due to the micro filter damaged which was conveniently blamed on my domestic servant.
Photos were provided showing the breaks. the irony of these breaks are that they were spotless and clean indicating that they had been broken after delivery to the supplier as had the machine been used there would have been dust or dirt on the breaks.
The quote to repair was in total more than R500 more than what we paid for the machine. While i was in the office another lady came in whose product was still under warrantee and they charged her over R 3000 for the repair.
Karcher is supposed to be a benchmark product, I agree it is a benchmark product of absolute rubbish with other cheaper products last many times longer than this "upmarket product" I advise that no one buy this product as it is a hopeless failure as is the response and action of the local agent.
