Mario Coetzee Attorneys was responsible to start the divorce action. Although it was quick, the Decree of Divorce was totally wrong. Where it is was supposed to state that my ex-husband has to pay maintenance towards our minor child, it stated that I must pay maintenance, where as I am the main guardian for our daughter. I am the "Plaintiff', my ex-husband the "defendant". They swithced the two up. It went through court and I received and incorrect Decree of Divorce, which I was not aware of. When the time came that I wanted to take my ex-husband to court for maintenance that he's not paying, I was informed that the Decree of Divorce is incorrect and I can therefor not sue my ex for maintenance or keep him accountable for overdue maintenance. I contacted the above-mentioned lawyer for 1 month, without a response. Not even once! I have made sure that the mistake came from the attorney's office. I have now lodged a complaint with The Law Society of the Northern Provinces.
