Since January 2014 I received 2 phone calls to say that I owe Nedbank money for a personal loan. I asked them to give me proof that I owe this money but was to told they would get back to me. I did some investigation of my own I went to Nedbank and queried if I EVER had a loan from them and they said no, they also could not provide me with any proof. I then phoned MBD and spoke to SEVERAL people and they could give me NO details or proof??? the staff at MBD is extremely rude and DEMANDS payment but can not even have a decent conversation with a person. I will not be spoken to like this!! I again received a call from MBD on Tuesday 28 Jan and this female callcentre agent was VERY Rude again insisting I owe money and MUST pay. I ask her to send me proof and she said NO I should know I owe this money and must pay.
DEBT COLLECTORS MUST GIVE YOU ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND COPIES OF CONTRACTS.
Debt collectors should not:
? Act in a way that is misleading or deceptive
? Harass or force you into paying
